Essay / The Adversities of Escaping an Abusive Relationship permanently the two individuals and their bond. Domestic violence is a major conflict that occurs in many relationships. It is the control that a partner in an intimate relationship, who is usually the man in a heterosexual relationship, attempts to exert over the woman with methods such as physical, verbal and sexual violence (domestic violence and abuse ). However, there are many cases in which women should stay in an abusive relationship rather than escape it due to contributing factors related to societal views. In the novels A Thousand Splendid Suns written by Khaled Hosseini and Black and Blue written by Anna Quindlen, there are characters who experience domestic violence in their marriage, which forces them to make the difficult decision to leave the abusive relationship to make facing difficulties such as survival and adaptation as children. Even though their toxic relationships have ended, turmoil remains in these women's lives, causing the ultimate destruction that they themselves created by ending their relationship. It is clear that women should endure the abusive relationship because the complications they face after leaving their relationship are worse than the situation they were in when they were involved in the abusive relationship. For starters, many women who leave abusive relationships are more vulnerable to violence. extreme levels of danger than when they were with their abusive partner, thereby minimizing their chances of survival and jeopardizing their safety.
