For decades, friends and colleagues have gathered around designated smoking areas outside the workplace, schools and restaurants. They all had something in common, but it didn't bring them together like tobacco addiction did. Some people started smoking at a young age, while others felt the need to do it simply to fit in or because it seemed like a cool thing to do. Over the years, they have smoked or chewed tobacco, which has deteriorated their health due to the dangerous chemicals contained in tobacco products. For many years, help has been offered to all tobacco users, including medication to stop smoking. Thousands of elderly people suffered from lung cancer which ultimately took their lives. Some people started smoking because of their parents' influence; As children grew up watching their parents smoke, they acquired the habit as a normal social behavior. Others felt pressure to be socially accepted and engaged in smoking habits just to fit in, as Matt Cunningham described in "10 Reasons People Start Smoking," which showed the many factors behind why people used tobacco products. An interesting fact that influenced people to use tobacco was the misdirection described by the tobacco companies; such as advertising cigarettes with the word "light", which was considered a misconception that the product would be less harmful. In 2011, young men who earned a GED were the most affected among the 43.8 million Americans who used tobacco; This information was analyzed by the CDC in an article titled “Cigarette Smoking in the United States.” It was clear that young people lacked advice and structures to avoid or quit smoking.
