Political Essay Letting Donald Trump rule our country would be like letting the Devil himself take over America. Trump was born and raised in Queens, New York. He was introduced to the business world at an early age while working with his father on architectural projects in Queens, New York, and Brooklyn, New York. His accomplishments include his television show “The Apprentice,” a successful real estate business, and numerous successful architectural designs. On June 6, 2015, Trump announced his candidacy for president, seeking the Republican Party nomination. Donald Trump has proven to be a horrible candidate and he would lead America to its downfall. First of all, he is not a logical man; his plans for our country are irrational. Donald Trump discriminates against many groups of people, proving that he is not a viable presidential candidate. He grossly insults women without showing the slightest remorse. In recent years he has attacked numerous women, including: Rosie O Donnell, a former Playboy playmate, and Megyn Kelly. The most recent was the attack on Megyn Kelly; In an interview, Kelly asked Trump about his critical comments about women. Trump later said the difficult questions she asked him were due to "blood coming out of whatever it was," referring to a woman's menstrual cycle. Not only does this show the inconsideration he has towards women and lack of respect for their bodies, but it also shows how insensitive and cold he is. He attacks the woman and speaks without thinking. He later called her a bimbo on Twitter and didn't apologize for any of his rude remarks toward Kelly. Trump also discriminates against Mexico and Mexicans. “When Mexico sends its citizens,” Trump said during his presidential announcement, “they don’t send the best.” He also calls all Mexicans drug lords and rapists. Another act of demonstrating his dislike for the Mexican/Latino community occurred at a Donald Trump event in which he kicked out a Univision anchor for asking a question. His immigration reform refers only to our southern country, Mexico, in that he says there will be a wall on the southern border. The proposal also states that every immigrant will be a viable candidate. Some people may say that Trump is a viable candidate and will get our country out of debt with his extensive knowledge, business experience, and money-making abilities. But what good is that from a lying and inconsiderate man? No matter how good he is with money, Trump has proven to be very selfish. How can we know that he wouldn't defraud us and make our economy worse? He would ultimately put America in a bigger hole and only do things in the best interest of all.
