    When you think of Egypt, what comes to mind first? The history of all the great pyramids and how they came to be? Cleopatra, the great seductress of many powerful men of Rome? The discovery of mummies in their dark sarcophagi, buried deep within their pyramids and tombs for eternity? As fascinating as it may seem, we will discover in this article that Egypt is still very rich in culture, diversity and religions on its own terms. Unfortunately, over the past three years, the country has become one marked by toppled governments, military coups, and brutal, brutal disorder in the streets. Although Egypt may no longer be the great dynasty it was before the Roman Empire, it still bears the title "the gift of the Nile." Every schoolchild learns something about Egyptian history. Many children are completely fascinated by the wonders of Egyptian culture dating back thousands of years. Thirty centuries spanned the Egyptian Empire, and during that time, great technological marvels were achieved. They were the very first culture in ancient times to believe in life after death, as well as the first humans to build stone structures and shape stone into arches. At the very beginning of the Pharaonic era, 2200 BC, they brought to power their first official ruler, King Menes (Metz). Power was thus centralized in the hands of a self-proclaimed God King, giving rise to the very first organized society in the known world. The times as we know them may have seemed primitive to some of us, but the Egyptians had actually developed a very sophisticated and complex society.
