Essay / High-Tech Behavior - 1396
Nowadays, technology has advanced so much that it has a major influence on a global scale at the very heart of people's lives across the world. Allen D. Kanner, child, family, and adult psychologist, states in his essay "The Privacy Hack: Why Marketers Must Bare Our Souls" (587) that high-tech technology affects the mind psychological and well-being of people. I agree with Allen D. Kanner's statement that technology has affected people's behavior in numerous ways in countless types of situations because of how addictive technology is and the magnitude with which it connects people to each other. The technological advancements of the 21st century are so far beyond those of the past that they are distorting the lifestyle and ideals of people in this century. It literally changes the way humans live, whether good or bad, it reshapes the way people operate in this world in many types of interactions and in many areas. Advertising technology has become so widespread across the world, in all kinds of places, that everyone's behavior is greatly affected by its influence. Advertising is literally everywhere today, on cell phones, videos, events, buses, websites and in other contexts large and small. Advertising targets the behavior of a specific audience so that they act on what the advertisement is promoting. Advertising can change the decisions people make simply by how it looks, sounds, feels, smells, or tastes, depending on the type of advertising. A clothing store has sales on the hottest fashions, which has an effect on shoppers who impulsively buy products they don't necessarily want or need. The advertisement attracted these buyers, on the one hand, it declared that it was the hottest fashion, middle of paper ... y of problems for people. Communication has changed in many ways, it has been modified and adopted new ways that people have to interpret from their own point of view, which leads to misunderstandings. His advancements allow people to gain time to relax and have more fun, but a side effect is that they become lazy. Technology affects humans in many ways, such as lifestyle, conversations, how it is used, relationships, etc. This seems so useful to people, but dangerous at the same time, that it is difficult to know whether it is a good or bad thing; it's just another gray area that humans have to live with.
