As I am interested in Austria, I decided to find out a little more. One of the first things I'd like to find is some basic information about the country. Another thing I would like to find out is what happened in the history of Austria. It would also be interesting to know the leader of the country. Information about the capital is another thing I want to find out about Austria. Additionally, I would like to know more about popular attractions located in Austria. Finally, I want to know about a famous person born in Austria. These are some of the things I hope to learn while doing this project. The first thing I wanted to find out was some basic information about Austria. I found out that the land area is 31,942 square miles. the population of Austria is 8,214,734 inhabitants. Life expectancy in Austria is very low: 79 years. The lowest birth rate is 8.96/1000, whereas it used to be higher. Austria is overpopulated, it is slightly smaller than Maine but has a higher population. Maine's population is 1,294,464, about 8 times less than Austria. The Austrian region is mainly made up of dwellings, buildings and the Alps, which is 60%. 40% is made up of rivers, forests and wooded areas. Austria has 5 major cities: Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Innsbruck. Austria has a chancellor and a president. Vienna has 1,693,000 inhabitants while the others have only 300,000 or less. The Austrian climate is the same in autumn and winter. The density per square kilometer is 275. The second thing I wanted to know was what happened in the history of Austria. I discovered that in the second century AD, German tribes were trying to expand into Austrian territory. In the mid 500s the Bavarians took over the eastern part of Austria...... middle of paper ...... I found out how Hitler died and why. I also benefited from learning about Austrian history.
