This alone should mean that there should be no government intervention on a code of ethics or morality. As citizens, we should be able to enjoy complete freedom of choice. To the extent that the Internet gives voice to people who otherwise would not have a say, it should not be policed. Our government was put in place by the people to legislate and maintain order in our society, but it has begun to make decisions for us about what is appropriate and what is not. The most recent example of this is Canada's Internet Censorship Bill C-54 of 1987, which states that the Internet should be censored and subject to restrictions. Internet regulation will tend to restrict freedom of expression. The Internet is a modern symbol of the freedom of expression we enjoy in our society. The government has no right to tell us what we can and cannot do at home. Since no one is forcing anyone to access a specific area of ​​the Internet, we make our choices according to our own will.
