Ad Analysis: Garnier BB CreamWith the promise of “perfect” skin in just 30 seconds, the product ad under review is Garnier BB Cream. The main claim of this advert is that it is the first BB cream to give you perfect skin in 30 seconds. Along with this claim, this product states that it has a “miracle formula” that will even, cover, brighten, hydrate and protect your skin. While all of these claims sound promising, sometimes you need to allow some leeway to actually interpret them. Although all of these statements may seem true, they actually contain inflated or explicit claims. The reason these claims are explicit is that they simply cannot be measured. Although this product may give the consumer "perfect" skin, in reality there is no established scale or standard, and it is not even possible to achieve perfection. Another claim of this product that cannot be measured is that it is an “all in one” miracle; however, last time I checked, miracles couldn't be put into a cosmetic product.
