PurposeBackgroundSunway University (originally Sunway College) was established in 1987 when it was officially inaugurated by the late Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah AlhajIbniAlmarhum Sultan HisamuddinAlam Shah Alhaj, Sultan of Selangor DarulEhsan. . Before becoming Sunway University, the institution was upgraded to university college status by the Minister of Higher Education on August 12, 2004. The approval letter was presented by the Minister of Higher Education of 'epoch, YB Dato' DrShafie bin Haji MohdSalleh, to YBhg Tan Sri Dato' Seri. Dr Jeffrey Cheah, AO, during the launch of the National Patriotic Day celebrations at Sunway. On January 31, 2011, our founder, president and chancellor, Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah received the certificate from YB Dato' Seri Mohd Khaled Nordin, Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia, establishing us as a full-fledged university. The BSc (Hons) Information Systems from Sunway University combines technical IT elements with business management. . The courses highlight technical computer skills and provide sufficient knowledge of business and organizational management issues. The BSc (Hons) Information Systems also has an analytics focus.
