  • Essay / Abolishing Animal Testing - 1397

Have you ever really thought about what happens during animal testing? How are animals treated or what torture do they face on a daily basis? Ninety-five percent of animals used in experiments are not even covered by the Animal Welfare Act, which regulates the treatment of animals used for testing purposes. Some animals are so abused and abused that they die before they are even tested on. Animal testing is a cruel procedure and should be banned. However, animal testing is very important for understanding the human body. Over the years, we owe most of the medical advances we have made to date to vivisection. Vivisection is the practice of performing testing procedures performed on live laboratory animals.
