    Speech and language disorders are one of the many learning disorders that hinder children's attendance and success in class at of primary school. Primary education is the first stage of education and covers seven years of school life in Zimbabwe. This level of education lays the foundation for future learning and future academic success. The United Nations (2000) identified universal primary education by 2015 as one of its Millennium Development Goals. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to improve school attendance and academic performance of primary school students by strengthening teachers' skills to treat schoolchildren with learning disabilities differently. It is therefore necessary that children with speech and language disorders receive specialized education due to their disability (Freiberg and Wicklund, 2003). However, most public schools are not well equipped with appropriate resources to meet the needs of primary school children with speech and language disorders.1.0 Background of the StudyThe values ​​that primary education instills in children serve as basis for their future. Primary education is a fundamental right for every child in Zimbabwe, but due to speech and language disorders, many children do not have access to primary education. This situation may be due to lack of support from the relevant government department and parents. Although the ministry recognizes that some children with speech and language disorders require special attention, it appears that little is being done to create an environment conducive to learning for children with speech and language disorders. .
