    Throughout history, there have always been leaders. Leadership is important in society, although not all leaders are the same. Mr. Weber described three different types of leadership: authoritarian, democratic, and laissez-faire leadership. All of these leaderships tend to have their own advantages and disadvantages. Authoritarian leadership is leadership based on the ideas of an individual who controls a group. The leader usually has little influence over decision-making and only follows the ideas of one person (Cherry 2014). Most people find this type of leadership to be the most effective in getting things done because it is strict and demanding. However, few people favor this type of leadership; he gains little affection from followers. This type of leadership can be closely linked to a dictatorship. They both have only one person who controls everything. Some countries have authoritarian leadership, such as North Korea. The person who currently controls North Korea is Kim Jong-Un, he is like a dictator. North Korea is an authoritarian leadership because: Kim Jong-Un controls everything. Having authoritarian leadership has certain disadvantages. Some of these require total obedience, the leader may be seen as authoritarian/control-seeking, and there may be a loss of creativity in decision-making (Cherry 2014). An example of obedience is that certain aspects of people's lives are forced to be changed, because they must follow certain rules to be obedient. In North Korea, all male students in the hermit kingdom will be required to sport the same hairstyle as supreme leader Kim Jong Un, reports the BBC (Grossman 2014).
