  • Essay / Homeschooling: An Alternative Education Option But...

Education is one of the most important platforms that people need to achieve their long-term goals involving a career . Without education, people would not receive the knowledge they need to get a job they are passionate about. Students working to achieve these goals are offered many education options, including public school, private school, and homeschooling, in order to learn the information they need. When parents choose to homeschool their child, they are taking risks in many ways because homeschooling is a very different environment and learning experience than a real school. Right now, anyone in the United States is allowed to homeschool their child, but should the government allow it? Not all homeschooled children receive the same quality of education as that provided by public and private schools. Although the proposal to completely ban homeschooling is out of the question, there should be laws or rules in place stating who or under what conditions a person can be homeschooled. Homeschooling can limit a child's productivity, opportunities, and decrease their chances of learning social skills, providing evidence that unless there are extenuating circumstances, children should attend regular school daily rather than to be homeschooled. As children grow up, they should be surrounded by other children. age so that they learn to interact and socialize with each other. Social skills are an extremely important and necessary skill to learn because they can make or break a person when interviewing for potential jobs in the future. Social skills can also show a person's education level, and if they are poor, employers are less likely to hire that person. According to Forbes magazine, ...... middle of paper ...... has opportunities and learns necessary social skills. If this law is adopted, all children who have the capacity to attend public or private schools will be educated daily at the sustained pace of the curriculum taught. Homeschooling a child should not be the first education option parents choose, but rather an alternative for students with physical or mental disabilities.
