What about women who view them as unequal to men? Is it a woman's ability to reproduce or the fact that women are presented as more emotional than men that puts the female gender at a disadvantage? Since the Middle Ages, women were considered inferior to men and were used for reproductive purposes and to provide for their husbands. The traditional role of the housewife has been proven to lead to double standards and has allowed the male gender to acquire a superior role.
