    It's hard to believe that only one photographer captured this image. The photographer who captured this incredible photo is Margaret Bourke-White. According to legend, this image was taken around 1937 and depicts 16 African Americans, including a white girl, standing in line, carrying various belongings as if they were going somewhere. Each of these individuals in line is wearing nice cold weather clothing and each of them has an indifferent look. It's easy to see that these people are not happy at all. These people are at the center of the image; they line up with every ounce of hope, whether it’s to collect clothes or food. The most striking element of this photo is that they are standing in front of an “American Dream” billboard. The billboard shows a rich Caucasian family riding in a car and each of them looks joyful and happy. The family even has a little dog with his head sticking out the window like he's having the time of his life, followed by two kids in the back seat....
