Whether one believes that an abortion kills a baby or simply removes an embryo, the abortion will have an effect on the future of the person making the decision. Abortion is one of many things that can affect a person's life. It is a life-ending medical procedure and can sometimes also end our relationships with our immediate family members. One in three women will have an abortion by then. One of the issues that has existed since the 1800s is the right to abortion. This topic has become a hot topic after the numerous deaths caused by complicated and illegal abortions due to unrefined medical procedures. By the end of the 19th century, in 1967, abortion was illegal in every US state. (Opposing Views) Later, some states made abortion legal for women with restrictions and some states placed restrictions on abortion at different stages of pregnancy. Most states prohibit abortion if a woman is in her second or third trimester. (Opposing views) It is carried out by a licensed doctor in hospitals. About 16 states allow abortion in private institutions. We may have problems, but killing an innocent baby is not the solution. Fighting our obstacles is sometimes the best way to overcome problems. Most of the time whatever we get has small flaws sometimes, but we manage to get by.
