Michael Jordan once said, “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.” A team is made up of a small number of individuals with complementary skills and committed to a common goal. (Reveln Consulting, 2013) I have often heard people talk about teams and the benefits that come with them. This helps in getting new ideas from all members of a team and also helps in brainstorming ideas and choosing the best applicable solution. Teams are typically divided into four different categories: problem-solving, self-managed, cross-functional, and virtual. All these teams have different characteristics but are useful and beneficial in achieving the ultimate goals and objectives. It reduces the workload of a particular person and is distributed evenly among other members. The advantage of working in a team is greater than that of working alone. The sharing of ideas between members and how everyone has their own way of thinking and implementing is different. This allows you to learn a lot about the given task, as well as get more perspectives on the situation. Even though the decision-making process is lengthy compared to individuals, the decision is made after a thought process involving several minds. Therefore, the chances of making a good decision are greater when it is made as a group than when it is made individually, and even the responsibility for a wrong decision made rests on the heads of all members of the group. a group equally compared to a situation concerning an individual. .The most fascinating and useful thing about teamwork is team discussions.
