    Imagine receiving a text message saying, “I’m sorry; It doesn't work for me anymore. You just got dumped by text message. You feel a horrible feeling in your chest; we never got to see their faces. It is satisfying to see if they were remorseful about it, but that never happened. People take advantage of the fact that you can avoid confrontation by using technology so you don't feel as bad as the person you sent the text to. We love using technology these days, but it might be more of a hindrance than a help. It takes away so much human contact that so many people desperately need. But he's not really the bad guy in this whole affair. Children and teenagers obviously love their technology. They go on Facebook, they text, it's fun. However, this takes away communication with their parents and takes away family time. “It’s that time. Just because we're all under the same roof doesn't mean we're together. (Huntley) If we can't communicate with our families, who can we really communicate with? This takes away a very important social skill that we all need to thrive in this society. If we don't have this skill, it will be harder for us to talk in person and we will have fewer friends to talk to. Face-to-face contact is essential to building any relationship. Relationships don't just require talking to each other. There's so much more to it than that. Body language reveals a lot about a person. Paying attention to body language is useful to know how that person reacts to a certain situation; Of course, you don't know exactly what they're thinking, but you can get a good idea. Over text, this process of looking and hearing a person's tone doesn't happen. This could make a si...... middle of paper......technology is not necessarily the bad guy in all this. It's the people who use it. Saying that technology harms people makes no sense; it would be like saying that a pencil can write an article for me if I tell it to. It is the person behind that screen who does the evil, because it is their choice to do what they do on it. Of course, technology makes it easier for them to make the decision not to show their face, and they are still the ones using it for that purpose.
