    Employer Tuition ReimbursementIn an ever-growing workforce, competition in the job market is becoming increasingly strong and difficult from year to year. This requires people to return to school and pursue further education or further education beyond an undergraduate degree. Even though more and more people are returning to school, they are not paying the bill alone. It's 2014 and more and more employers are offering their employees the opportunity to return to school by offering educational assistance programs or reimbursing tuition fees. According to the Elearning Glossary on elearningers.com, tuition reimbursement is defined as “a benefit offered to employees by employers to fully or partially cover tuition costs for postsecondary or training courses” (Eleaners, 2012). When it comes to tuition reimbursement, there are many factors a company needs to consider and employees need to know them to get the most out of a company's tuition assistance program. Employees are the only ones who view education as an investment. With more and more companies offering tuition reimbursement as part of their employee benefits each year, they too are seeing the value and investment that pays off in helping their valued employees further their education. Some employers may cover all expenses up to a certain amount, while others pay a percentage of the total cost (Tucker). However, it is important to note that only well-established companies have the resources to finance a tuition reimbursement program.
