Not only does it disrupt a student's ability to learn, but the same goes for those around them. Cell phones and tablets caused so many people problems during their high school years that it almost became necessary to retire them. If the devices students are using are not being used properly, then they should not be used at all, especially when they are preventing students from learning better skills like handwriting and social interactions.
