What are magnets?A magnet is an object (usually a material with metallic (ferrous) properties that emits a magnetic field and attracts other iron objects or aligns itself with the external magnetic field of another, produced by the alignment of the atoms that compose them internal It is one of the most important phenomena in the world, we know how they work, but it is confusing to understand their invisible power. Did you know that the Earth is a giant magnet! How were they discovered? At first, the Greeks and ancient Egyptians discovered the natural magnet which could attract iron particles and iron ores. that it was a gift from the gods. The word "Lodestone" is derived from a Greek word for a place, called "Magnesia", where lodestone was widely distributed. which means "waystone". Well, how do they work? Magnets refer to the internal alignment of atoms in metal components, most metal objects can do this. being turned into a magnet by a strong shake or series of shakes of a very strong magnet to suddenly be attached and detached from the piece of steel you wish to permanently magnetize, what this does is move more suddenly and more strongly the atoms of the internal components in order, where they will stay. There are other methods by which ore can be magnetized, such as with the earth and how it rotates in its orbit and magnetizes the natural magnet, which is more complicated. For a metal object to be made into a magnet, the atoms of its internal components must be properly aligned - all in the same direction as in the image below, otherwise it will be weak or not work at all! Electromagnets, what is this ? A ...... middle of paper ...... pulling towards the voice coil. The drive gives a certain orientation of polarity and intensity to be sent to the voice coil, when these polarities are changed the magnet simply attracts the entire voice coil and diaphragm with it to produce different pulses of sound, this happens very quickly to make music! Uses of Magnets: One of the most potential future uses of magnets, among many others, is in magnetic levitation wind turbines. Standard wind turbines must rely on bearings and be connected to very efficient electricity generators, the standard efficiency of these wind turbines is 1%. Well magnets and magnetic levitation have achieved over 20% more efficiency per amount of pressure and wind volume. only thanks to its highly efficient system of frictionless magnets supporting these colossal fans, just like maglev trains without the forward motion.
