Essay / Industrial Revolution - 1557
It started as a muddy pond, which was the meaning of the city's original name: Liuerpul. Liverpool, located in England, was founded by King John in 1207. It was known as a port city used to send soldiers and supplies to the Irish Sea during England's conquest of Ireland . Over the years, King John divided the lands and allowed people to establish homes and begin living. Later, they were given more freedom to create their own organization. Over the following centuries, the population rose and fell constantly due to poverty and famine. The economy was not stable enough to give the city a proud name. It wasn't until the 1760s and 1850s when a great era hit the city of Liverpool called the Industrial Revolution. This success is due to the new technology invented to increase the population and ensure its security. The industrialization of Liverpool became successful because new ideas and inventions affected the population size and development of Liverpool. Due to the new uprising of the cotton and wool textile industries; not only did this give rise to new ideas and inventions, but it also caused riots among workers because they were unable to find work (because people were being replaced by machines). It started as a home made thing. They had to go through different stages like sorting and cleaning, in order to produce a product. This work was mainly carried out by women and children. Raw materials for these industries were imported from countries such as China, the West Indies and Africa. But the production was not well organized as people were scattered all over the city and transportation was not in the best location. However, the textile industry is beginning to experience a revolution. John Kay proposed... middle of paper ...... for a permanent salary, which caused the worker population to soar. Among those who invested in or launched these projects were the landed aristocracy, industrialists and merchants. They took the risk of investing, even though they knew it would end up being a failure. And it was these risk-takers who prolonged the revolution. In the end, Liverpool experienced changes in all aspects of their lives. This transformation was therefore called the industrial revolution, because it completely abandoned “the old way of doing things”. Ideas that lead to inventions; technological changes; new industries; modern agriculture; expansion of exports and imports; and economic escalation has made all these dreams come true. Once again this success helped Liverpool and increased its population. The Industrial Revolution brought major changes that changed Liverpool's status forever..
