Essay / Thoughts on Development: Development through Childhood...
Children grow in the body in a variety of ways, their body's internal systems change, they get taller, heavier, and a myriad of others things. The only defining period of growth would again be adolescence, when sexual traits and major growth in height take place. During this period there is strong hair growth in both, although more often it is greater in men, such as through facial hair and beard, but the most significant growth shared by both would be growth in height and hormonal changes. This last point is especially important when it comes to sexual changes during these periods, women begin to reach the point where they menstruate and men reach a point of sexual maturity when they begin to produce sperm . Along with these above-mentioned changes in the sexes, other changes occur, such as drooping of the testicles in men and growth of mammary glands in the chest.
