    Today, in our society, human trafficking is more important than ever. Men, women and children are stolen daily and exchanged for sex and work. As a society, we must stand up and fight against traffickers. Human trafficking must be brought to everyone's attention. as human beings we must implement a plan to end human trafficking. We must also provide assistance to people who are victims of trafficking. Finally, it is important to inform all Americans and even more important to inform our nation's leaders of this horrific crime. There are many things that I will cover in the first section of my article on human trafficking. First, it will be about knowing how human trafficking works. Next up will be human trafficking in the United States of America. Finally, human trafficking outside the United States. I will delve deeper into the history of human trafficking, human trafficking statistics, and information to explain why human trafficking is so bad. In this paragraph I will explain to you how human trafficking works. First, trafficked people are often in debt or living in poverty. Traffickers exploit this type of situation and make these individuals believe that they will sponsor them to obtain a well-paid job somewhere abroad. Then, upon arrival at their destination, these people are often shocked to realize that they are not given the work they were promised and are instead forced to work under conditions they did not agree to. Traffickers also confiscate passports and any other means of identification of these people so that the police cannot help them. Finally, victims are often told that they now have to work until they repay their debt, and that they can also be sold for nothing...... middle of paper ...... conditions of life and are a constant fear. The next form of human trafficking is trafficking for forced labor. The victims of this equally widespread form of trafficking come mainly from developing countries. They are recruited and trafficked using deception. They find themselves held in conditions of slavery in various jobs. Men, women and children are engaged in agricultural and construction work, domestic servitude and other heavy work. The final and most common form of human trafficking is the commercial sexual exploitation of children and tourists. This type of crime has been present in Asia for many years and has now spread to Africa as well as Central and South America. This growth is aided by the growth of cheap air travel and the relatively low risk of bans and prosecutions in these destinations for having sex with minors..
