Internal discussion paperThe internship that I acquired during the summer of 2010 at the Greenwood Sports and Industrial Rehabilitation Center (GSIRC), allowed me to gain experience immeasurable during my tenure at this establishment. The Core Physical Education and Exercise Science (PEES) courses taken at Lander University were beneficial to my academic knowledge base, which prepared and developed me for opportunity in the discipline of physiotherapy. Working as an intern taught me responsibility for time management and working on a reduced schedule, which allowed me to further develop my skills. The course that was in the middle of the article ......e to work at Greenwood Sports and Industrial Rehabilitation Center helped me strengthen my communication skills as well as my learning skills. Being able to have worked with many patients with a variety of diagnoses helps me learn more about how to manage time and develop my communication skills. By assisting patients throughout their workout, I was able to analyze the muscles being used and focus more on form and movement. Watching the PT and PTA come up with their own exercises shows that there must be a lot of creative thinking that I picked up along the way. For the first time, I'm experimenting with using resistance bands and how effective they are compared to free weights and machines..
