    Cormac McCarthy is known for his narrative writing, in No Country for Old Men McCarthy does not let his readers down. McCarthy is very informative in the stories of No country for Old Men. McCarthy is the narrator of three of the main characters in this book. McCarthy begins by telling the future Bell sheriffs that there is no place in the world for a principled old sheriff. McCarthy then addresses the difficulties in the life of the young man Moss who has life-changing choices that could take him into the path of several assassins, the main assassin being Chigurh. Chigurh seems to have no soul as he goes on a killing spree and doesn't seem to care. McCarthy begins with Bell going to see a death row inmate, in this story you begin to visualize the toll that being a sheriff took on Bell. Bell is the sheriff of a Texas town and feels responsible for every soul in his town. Bell has seen a lot in his life, but the growing violence in the world has him wondering if there is room for an elder like him. Bell also sees Chigurh's work as soulless....
