The Walking Dead, a television show about survival in the world of zombies, based on the comic strip of the same name created by Robert Kirkman. In this show, Rick Grimes, a sheriff's deputy, wakes up from a coma and finds himself in a hospital, soon discovering that while he was in a coma, the world had been infected, thus turning humans into flesh-eating zombies named later Walkers. As Rick sets off in search of his family, he meets many other survivors Glenn, Daryl and Carl Maggie, Carol, Sasha, Hershel, Beth, Michonne, among many others who died along the way. Rick and the survivors have been through a lot, moving from place to place, away from walkers. After moving around a lot, they found an old prison surrounded by walkers where they now live. This show sends many messages to viewers, but none as important as the messages it sends about survival, religion, and betrayal. One of the messages the show sends to viewers is survival; in several scenes, Rick and the group hunt animals and enter abandoned houses to find supplies: medicine, food, and guns. They must also not let anyone try to harm their group. In one scene, Rick, Michonne, young katana-wielding black women, and Rick's son Carl go in search of food for Rick's newly born daughter Judith in a car. Along the way they see a survivor beckoning them to stop but they choose not to pick him up as he could be dangerous, when they return he is already dead, eaten by the walkers and they stop but only to take his provisions. Later in the series, the group comes up with three questions they could ask other survivors to join their group. The three questions are "How many walkers did you kill? How many people did you kill, why?" The group chooses to do this so that innocent...... middle of paper ...... his prison will take over even after agreeing with Rick. Although The Walking Dead is violent and may contain some blood, it is beneficial. This is beneficial for the viewers because they will learn that betrayal is not good because it can kill you, it is better to trust those around you to survive. It's also beneficial because viewers learn that while religion isn't useful for killing zombies, it is useful for keeping people believing and moving forward. The show could also be detrimental to its viewers because after watching the show, many people would believe that this could actually happen in the real world and would go out and prepare for such an event, such as buying guns, a chainsaw and other weapons capable of killing. a human being. The Walking Dead is beneficial and harmful to viewers, but ultimately it's just a show meant to entertain households..
