Essay / Character is Good Values - 702
Morally good behaviors or personalities are reflected as virtues. A virtue is a positive mannerism or value considered morally respectable and is therefore valued as the basis of principle and good moral presence. Virtues are acquired through the practice of personal behaviors. An individual can acquire certain values from his family members, these are things logically cultivated throughout his life. Values can determine what one can believe in and indicate what position an individual will or will not support. For example, in choosing to remain in religion, they were accustomed to relying on their upbringing. Virtues are the foundation of your core value composition. Values can be learned from the positive or negative roles they play in a person's life. You acquire certain values through religion, such as the religious belief that “it is better to give than to receive.” Therefore, a person who gives gifts can be considered a generous person and one who promotes positive values and/or virtues. Values can affect his character depending on the trait he adopts rather than whether it is a negative or positive trait. For example, a father promises his child to take him to the park. If the father never keeps his promise, every time he makes another promise, the child lacks confidence in his father to keep that promise. Above all, there is no valid reason why the father could not keep his promise. This may be because the father has bad values. Now if that same father makes the same promises and keeps those promises, the child now trusts his father that when he makes a promise, he does what he says and that builds trust. Trust builds character and the father considers it to be of good value ... middle of paper ...... he maintains such relationships. As in healthcare and other professions, it is imperative to have good values and virtues in order to have a positive conclusion. Virtues are good moral behaviors or character. Virtues can be behaviors communicated by following positive or negative behaviors. Values are something that can be learned from childhood and throughout life. A person with positive values and virtues is someone you can trust. On the other hand, a person with negative values and virtues may be someone you won't trust. In healthcare, it is imperative to establish positive relationships with patients and other healthcare professionals. When an individual is seen in a positive light, trust is built. In healthcare this is the only way to go, you want to be seen as reliable, trustworthy, patient and optimistic in healthcare..
