No one knows the meaning of an oppressive government blind to the needs of its people quite like our founding fathers. When they courageously freed the colonies from Britain's iron grip, they envisioned a new country, shining with freedom and hope and governed solely by the interests of its people. What would the Founding Fathers say if they saw America today? They would be shocked by our folly, saddened by the way we allow our government to impose senseless restrictions that only serve to limit our freedom, appalled by our blatant disregard for what they fought so hard for. As Americans, we should be ashamed that our traditional and deep-rooted ideals of self-sufficiency and freedom have been compromised by the severe restrictions on the driving age in the United States. While some complain that children are too "inexperienced" and "immature" to be good drivers, I disagree. It is experience, not age, that makes a good driver, and many children are very experienced at driving, having played many hours of video games like "Grand Theft Auto" and "Mario Kart ".
