The human conditionHumanity has the capacity for reasoning and emotions. This wide range of emotions contributes to the human capacity to love, to hate, to create war and art. “The human condition” is a phrase commonly used to describe an individual's reaction to the circumstances they often encounter. This article will prove that the study of the “human condition” plays a determining role in the understanding of art and literature. The study of the human condition addresses the subject of human nature, human society, and worldviews. These topics are the fundamental subjects of human existence that help people understand the nature of the human condition and the broader social preparations that structure human life. Impacts on the Human Condition Worldviews Worldviews and the human condition are closely linked. Worldviews are inherited and evolving, and can be influenced and change over time. An individual's culture, religion, and society influence their worldview. Worldviews are important to the human condition because they constitute the structure of beliefs, values, and assumptions about how the world works. A worldview also causes an individual to question their beliefs and view of reality. Worldviews make people question where they come from and the meaning of life.
