Their vision statement says: “The Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.” The main difference between British Airways and the Red Cross is that although British Airways is a for-profit organization, the Red Cross is a non-profit humanitarian organization committed to preventing disasters and provide support in an emergency. British Airways has many responsibilities to its stakeholders. British Airways' primary responsibility to the general public is to provide a reliable, economical and sustainable mode of transport throughout the world. The company has the responsibility to achieve good financial results in order to provide value to investors.
