What does the President of the United States mean to you? What does it mean to have the title “President”? Is there an added sense of obligation or authority in this name? We know that some presidents in particular have not lived up to the expectations associated with the title of presidency. One of them is called Porfirio Díaz and he is the number one cause of the Mexican revolution. When his decades-long rule over Mexico was challenged, he had an innocent man framed and sent to prison. This man ultimately called for a revolution against the president. People have been ready for years and this is exactly what they needed; the revolution had begun. The Mexican Revolution was an extremely bloody conflict between the Mexican people and the presidents they had to live under. Porfirio Díaz initially had good intentions for Mexico. He first improved Mexico exponentially in his early years. His main goal for government was to be more industrial. He believed that agriculture was not as important as industry. The only problem was that most people in Mexico depended on agriculture. Diaz was well aware of the problem and ignored the needs of the people. Eventually, his popularity began to decline. People then sought to have him removed from office. Once he realized his presidency was under threat; he did everything in his power to ensure his victory.
