Over time, comic books have become much more popular than expected, no matter how supernatural or unrealistic these superheroes and superpowers seem, they tend to reflect the real world and its society. . Comics imitate the society in which they are created. A small change in comic book diversity can surprisingly have a big impact on many people's views on racial discrimination. However, in some cases, authors might completely fail in their attempt to bring out diversity in a comic, which might just lead to a more negative view from society and its readers. Take the example of “The Punisher,” a modern-day white superhero who wakes up after his operation to become African-American. For what? The doctor allegedly used a substance called melanin which would darken her skin and change her facial features. This is an example of an extremely poor attempt to add diversity to a comic. It's surprisingly superficial and only adds to such a peculiar plot development. To make matters even worse, The Punisher's pigment change quickly faded after a few issues and finally arrived with the final issue with the pathetic title of "Fade to White". A better solution to the lack of diversity in a comic would be to attract a more diverse crowd of authors, which could bring a deeper understanding of different cultures and religions. A white writer may have difficulty designing an Asian character, so in order to introduce more diversity, the solution goes back to the source of these comics; THE
