  • Essay / How to reduce hunger in the United States

How to reduce hunger in the United States? In order to reduce hunger, all possible causes must be addressed. Climate change, natural disasters, wars and lack of aid are just some of the causes of hunger and food insecurity. These issues can be addressed at the national and local level. Contrary to popular belief, SNAP does not provide enough assistance to allow someone to live comfortably without working. Some people find loopholes and ways to abuse the program, but that shouldn't trickle down to those who only use it when they really need it. For many, SNAP is temporary assistance when household income is low ("HUNGER")The World Food Program (WFP), created by the UN fifty years ago...... middle of paper ...... 5697-5698. JSTOR. Internet.
