    In an effort to encourage and assist local students at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Fort Worth, Texas, Law Firms of Eberstein & Witherite have chosen to create a scholarship fund designed to provide financial assistance to deserving graduate students. The scholarship was initially intended to be awarded to only 2 lucky students. However, after serving on the review committee, Amy Witherite, one of the law firm's partners, was impressed with what she saw and what she saw. In fact, Amy was so impressed after meeting and speaking with each of the students that she instead In order to stick to the original plan of offering 2 scholarships, she decided that each of the 9 nominated students should be offered a scholarship. About the Scholarship The Making a Difference Scholarship was developed by Eberstein & Witherite to help provide high school graduates with financial assistance to help them continue their education. The award can be used for undergraduate study in any of the following areas: • Local community colleges • Two-year colleges • Four-year colleges and universities • Trade schools. The Making a Difference Scholarship Fund is designed to be used for a number of programs, including two- and four-year programs. It can also be used for a number of certificate and licensing programs, including: • Paralegal training • Computer training • Ultrasound technology • Medical records personnel • Nursing, nursing assistants and practical nurses • Many other areas examined prior to award of scholarship In order to be considered for the Making a Difference Scholarship, each student's application is subject to a full review.
