“The mobile phone is considered one of the greatest innovations, both in developed and developing countries. Advancements in mobile phones allow their users not only to communicate but also to use different applications such as camera, Internet, music player, games, social networks, etc. (I§IKLAR 2013)High school students have not yet reached full maturity. They do not understand responsibility and are easily influenced. Giving them this level of technology during lessons and at school can cause many problems. High school students should not be allowed to have and carry cell phones to school because they can cause distractions, encourage cheating, and cause unnecessary problems for students. “Nowadays, there is also a marked reliance on technological devices, although they offer crucial benefits to users; therefore, a new term has emerged in the literature on excessive cell phone use, called technology addiction. (Yenet al., 2009). Having a cell phone in class can be distracting to a student. Students can use their cell phones to access social media; such as Facebook, Myspace and other multimedia sites and applications. A cell phone can also be a distraction if it rings during class. Although a cell phone ringing in class may seem like a minor disruption, it can disrupt the behavior of the entire class. There are also many forms of distractions that students may be exposed to. They can play games, surf the web, post... in the middle of a newspaper... and even lead to attempted murder or suicide. » (Cyberbullying 2014) This will cause many disruptions in the functioning of daily school life. . Levels of cyberbullying would skyrocket if cell phones were allowed in school. It is in the best interest of faculty and staff to refrain from allowing cell phones in schools to reduce the rate of cyberbullying. Although there are some advantages to bringing cell phones to school, the disadvantages far outweigh the advantages. If we want our schools to remain well organized and orderly, cell phones should not be allowed. Many problems can be avoided if we simply ban them from schools. In the age of technology, students are very tech savvy. Many teachers may be outsmarted by their students due to their advanced technological knowledge. To avoid many problems, it is important that cell phones are completely banned at school..
