  • Essay / Essay on Disobedience to God's Command - 1262

In the first chapters, Moses repeats the events that happened during the wandering in the desert, he does this to remind the new generation to avoid committing the same errors. Moses even provides precepts concerning kings (Deut. 17:14-20). Unfortunately, Moses knows that the people will continue to rebel against God. He warns them that if they disobey, God will punish them severely (Deut. 28:15-68). This warning was always lost on the Israelites. Even though prophets like Jeremiah sincerely tried to bring God's people back to Him, they hardened their hearts and continued to do what they wanted.
