In the research I have conducted, I have found many advantages to locating our factory in Barbados. The intention of this report is to inform you that establishing a factory here will be rewarding for years to come. We have large areas of landscape that we can use as property for our future factory. Setting up a factory here in Barbados will bring us a lot of profit with little or no problems. However, a problem may or may not affect our business. It's not a huge problem but it's still worrying. Whatever the situation, the good factors outweigh the bad. One of the many good factors is the economic system. The economic system is a socialist democracy. This means that there are some government regulations, but this does not prohibit nationals of other countries from starting their own business in Barbados. Barbados mainly depends on trade between Barbados and countries such as Nigeria, Russia and the United States. If our company decides to start trading with other countries, we can send products to any country mentioned above. “The government maintains price controls on basic commodities such as rice and flour, transportation and fuel. ” (www.heritage.org), the reason this happens is because Barbados only gets most of its economic stability from the Ministry of Agriculture. This allows us to have a limited number of government regulations on a business. We can decide how much to pay workers and how much flexibility we should have with their job achievements through price controls. We have a free enterprise in our hands. Barbados' main source of energy is the Barbados Power and Light Company Ltd. Overall, our factory can benefit from many positive things. We can pay our employees cheap rates and have a peaceful workforce. If we focus on what our business is, we don't have to worry about external issues like traffic. We can build a business with reliable energy sources in a perfect country. We can get away with government regulations on a business and we can definitely make a profit in Barbados than in other islands. This country is like America except we can get more benefits in Barbados. There is no doubt about the country. It's a perfect place; the standard of living is higher than in the other islands. The workers are intelligent and dedicated. The government is very open to people wanting to start a business in the country. Barbados is simply the best option ever.
