Essay / The Advancement of Computers - 1451
Imagine if the computer had never been invented. The world would not benefit from the technological advances and multiple devices we take for granted today. Also take the time to imagine how difficult it would be to live in a world without computers, where it would be more difficult to store and process information. Without many inventors, the world might not have had the modern computer that people around the world use. The many software advancements we need for school work, such as Microsoft programs and the Internet. Additionally, we wouldn't have any of the devices we use almost every day, like a laptop, cell phone, or mp3 player. Sherry Turkel said, “Today's students are accustomed to the world of online blogs, instant messaging, and web browsing,” which shows how much people depend on computers (222).
