Essay / Personal Journal: Philosophy Course - 1257
I took this course because I thought it would be very interesting in philosophy. To be honest, I have no idea what philosophy means or who philosophers are. I've heard some people say that philosophy is a more difficult course. I didn't believe them, I want to try and finish, and I love it. I learned a lot of different philosophical theories. When I learned about their theories, I never thought about it. I walk day by day, living my life and I never think about how my day is going the way it is going or how my day is going. I have my own individuals who choose how I live and decide where I go. There is a difference between free will and determinism. The question is: Do you believe we live in a world of free will or has everything been planned and is determined to happen no matter what? Free will is “the idea that you could have acted in a different way, the idea that alternative actions are possible.” for you, the idea that you don't have to do what you did, the idea that you have a choice in what you do, the idea that you are responsible for your actions. » Many people think they are free because they can make their own decisions. The words “will” mean to choose. For example, listen to country music, wear skinny jeans, and speak differently. We are individuals in a society. “We think of ourselves as individuals in a society, but are we really as original as we think? We certainly have some degree of choice, but not as much as we think. What actually happens is that our behavior, our language, our lives are influenced by many factors that do not reach our own consciousness” (Bindzi). “Free will is the ability to make free choices that are not constrained by external situations, nor by fate or divine will. The notion of free will...... middle of paper...... I will regret it later. If I haven't taken this course, then I won't know what free will and determinism mean. I studied all the philosophers and their theories. I learned a lot from this course. I'm glad I took this course and enjoyed it. I am grateful for this course. I hope you enjoy reading this and telling you about one of my bad experiences in my life with free will and determinism.Work Cited "Free Will". Urban dictionary. Np, and Web.
